The Gulf Coast Legal Te
chnology Center (GLTC) was formed in 2005 to assist Gulf Coast attorneys, law firms and courts to rebuild their legal technology infrastructure following Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.  A joint project of the Legal Electronic Document Institute (LEDI)  of Seattle and Lawtopia of Baton Rouge, LA, GLTC originally opened with office space generously  donated by the New Orleans law firm of Guste Barnett Schlesinger Henderson & Alpaugh  and is now operating from The Launch Pad,  an incubator workspace project located at 643 Magazine Street in the heart of the Central Business District of New Orleans, close to state and federal courts, both trial and appellate.

Tom O’Connor and Browning Marean interview the luminaries of the litigation world on eDiscovery and the litigation process on the eDiscovery Channel on YouTube sponsored by Cavo Legal.

Managing Digital Evidence and ESI

Read Bob Ambrogi's Review of the Book...

"eDiscovery colleagues Bruce Olson and Tom O'Connor have written a marvelous new book entitled Electronic Discovery for Small Cases. . . . In this book, which will only take you an hour or two to read, you get an incredibly helpful overview of the products that are out there to help you with small cases. Need to collect evidence, review it, store it in the cloud, produce it and present it in court? There are affordable products for all of these functions and the uthors take you through them one by one. Very helpful indeed are all the screenshots, which allow you to see not only what the product can do but give you the sense that, 'Hey, I can do that.' Prices are clearly stated along with the capabilities (and limitations) of each product. If you are an attorney with garden variety' cases involving e-discovery, this book is indispensible." -- Sharon D. Nelson, Esq., president of Sensei Enterprises,Inc.

As organizations create increasing amounts of digital data, electronic discovery costs for lawyers can skyrocket. For firms with limited technology budgets, or cases with small amounts of electronically stored information (ESI), e-discovery can be challenging. Electronic Discovery for Small Cases offers effective, budget-friendly solutions for collecting, viewing, and analyzing electronic evidence that will benefit any litigator. With an overview of e-discovery techniques and extensive reviews of software products, this book will help you:

  • Determine if you should collect ESI yourself or hire a consultant

  • Select the best--and most user-friendly--collection tool for your budget

  • Make the most of your e-discovery software with step-by-step guidance

  • Process, view, search, and analyze a mixed collection of files

  • Learn about affordable cloud-based applications for litigation support

  • Publish a searchable document collection on a CD, DVD, or flash drive

  • Work with electronic records at mediation, arbitration, or trial

  • Learn about emerging ESI trends
